I've got mine apart and trying to get the paint off. Is the acetone a sure thing to remove the paint? Is it a lot of work getting the paint off that way? I was looking at some other stuff but the acetone seems to be the cheapest.

Trying to make mine camo, never seen one before. Will post pics once I'm done.

Great idea, did mine this weekend, I used paint stripper to get that hard thick clear gelcoat crap off. Then used Laquer thinner to get the blue paint off that the stipper left behind. Polished it up and looks a whole lot better then the peeling blistering paint that was on them. The back one was a little trickier I did it on the truck because I didn't feel like taking it off then re double face taping it. So I taped off around it and used the stripper very carefully. Turned out great!!

Good idea on this bud!!
