is the fuel line 5/16 i can't remember seen installing a new fuel filter
I think the fuel pump check valve is stuck open, causing the long crank start.
or it could be the wrong pump without a check valve
any comments appreciated
also have a fuel pump ready to be installed, just learned about inline check valve, stumbled onto it on utube
The pressure line is 3/8 and the return line is 5/16

There's no return line on this generation f150. And I'm not sure about the pressure line size off hand.

thanks, it was 5/16, I bought fuel line, two check valves, and two speed connectors. off amazon 33$ set it all up on kitchen table,
under truck to tank side of fuel filter, disconnected, snapped in both connections, zip tied, no longer long crank to start, no need to replace fuel pump
