Yep. Turns out the shop that put in the new engine didn't use mc coils and they were burning down the electrodes on the plugs making the gaps too big and causing a couple of cylinders to misfire.

I have the same issue. In 4th when the RPMs get down to about 1000-1400 misfires pretty bad. I usually turn OD off and its a lot better. I bought a set of wires but i wanna wait and do plugs at the same time.

Did that fix it?
I have the same problem,

everyone on here points toward misfire problem, but if that's the case, then only happens in the highest gear during acceleration.

Default It tends to have a more pronounced effect when in overdrive

Low rpms shows up misfires from lack of power .
If bad enough it can damage PCM driver output do to overload . Mine was just one cyl and it was horrible bucking .

It only helps a little since i drive in hilly areas. When the rpms get low in lower gears it still misses. I did get a wire kit but havent had time or appropriate weather to do it. I want to do plugs at the same time since i have 80k on her.

I guess I'm skeptical because if I shift to neutral and continue acceleration (for maybe a moment) the bucking stops

but you guys know more than me by far. So I'm checking the plugs this week,.
is there a way to test the individual coils to determine if one of them needs replacing?

you can put them on a meter and check the ohms
