Opinions of subwoofers
I would like go get a subwoofer or 2 under back seats of my truck. I have a 2006 f150 crew cab. I know i need low compressed air subs and box. Any ideas of what and already custom boxes? Thanks

I have a atrend 10" box and love it.
Before I had a JL but recently upgraded to a higher end kicker. Both subs sounded perfect under the seat.

X2! I have run JLs since highschool (mid 90's) and have never been disappointed. not to say that other brands are bad but I have had Rockford Fosgates, Kickers and Memphis Audio all blow... never had an issue (except having them stolen) with any of the JLs I have had from the entry level to the higher end ones.

I am running two JL W3v3 Subs in a custom enclosure.
I spent 300 on the subwoofers, another 300 on a 500 watt amp, and another 200 for the custom enclosure
i used an LMI rear seat lift (http://www.lmiwelding.com/kits_supercab.htm)
In all honesty it really depends on how much bass you want, and how much you're willing to spend. My truck can be heard from a couple blocks away, but that kind of sound isnt for everyone.

I don't know what experience the other guy had with Memphis but I've ran two Memphis 10" subs in sealed enclosures and loved them a lot. I drove them hard too. They're bass was not as deep as JL audio 10w3's though which are the best. Memphis has decent bass and is great for acoustic type music, rock, metal, jazz etc. JL audio will do all the above and will be awesome if you like crappy rap/hip hop music.

I've had the SAME subs and amp for 7 years now and got them used from a friend..... These 10's are deep and clean..... I listen to almost ALL types of music and the setup I have makes any recording sound like a live concert.
