As for switched ignition power, the recommendation is fuse 22 in the fuse box?
Are 2WD or 4WD?

If you pop out the coin holder, you can do some filing and a 2 1/16" gauge will fit in the hole. Bonus, the connector on the back of the coin holder is a good source for power and lighting. That's where I mounted my tranny temp gauge.

I might use those wires behind the coin holder, but I purchased the Auto Meter Dual A-Piller mount (part #15312) (and will receive Thursday)

Purple is apparently switched accessory power (on/off with ignition) and black is ground.
Will need something for the light bulb in the meter. Probably hooked to power for lights, or something. (blue and white on that plug is apparently a wire for lights and is dimmable)

Seems the 2004-2008 trucks only have four wires, and according to the diagram, two are dark blue, black and light blue/red. See https://www.f150forum.com/f4/coin-sl...behind-116997/

The two dark blue are the 4x4 switch. One of them probably has power (probably #3 in the diagram below?)
Black is ground
light blue/red is interior system lights.

I'll use the light blue/red strip for the lighting of the gauges, switched 12v power will come off either fuse 10 or 18.

Note: The Auto Meter instructions say to run the ground wire from the meter to a place near the sender.

There should be an interior color code on the door.

Oil pressure at 75MPH

Oil pressure at idle once warmed up

I have to admit, I did not expect to see that kind of oil pressure on the stock oil pump at highway speeds.

I'll finish installing the oil pressure gauge and the trans temp gauge tomorrow. Ran out of daylight.
