Default Oil pressure

Does this look good? I'll get a better gauge one of these days.

And if its stock, it will never differentiate. The stock oil pressure gauge shows center (pressure) or nothing (no pressure, or bad sensor/gauge). So useless that I removed the silly dash coin holder (for 4x4 models, the switch is there) and installed a true oil pressure gauge in its place along with sender and an engine oil cooler.

On my 04 it shows a tad over half way. When I changed the oil at first start up it was low then went right passed the half way mark to where its been since.

I also have the coin holder on my 2wd. Can you show a pic of what you did. Im interested to see how it looks. Sounds like a good idea.

Most in this generation sit just over the halfway mark like that. Don't trust that gauge for much though. It's just a dummy gauge.

So annoying that it isn't a real gauge. I take it the start up rattle after an oil change is normal since there's no oil in the tensioner upon changing the oil? Sound went away after 3-5 seconds and I never heard it again 5 months later.

Gauge does nothing in the traditional sense as others have stated. Just a fancy idiot light. A real gauge will require you to go mechanical or electric.
