What town are you guys from? If some group of thugs came to my house to beat my ***, I would have called the cops. Since you did not file a police report at the scene, that kid would have got away with hitting you, and got you locked up for beating him. Writing you a check would also never have happened. You are very lucky this kid is a clear cut idiot.

If it was me I would have called the cops on myself, unless I was drunk, I would respectfully ask you to wait till the morning, and sleep it off... If anybody ever came to my house to demand anything other then a handshake, I would have put my self in a corner, let the gaggle of you surround me, and then.....then....Well, lets just say I would have won that fight. Legally. With any luck the whole lot of you would have run out of that house very quickly, knowing damn well what was good for you.... "This is an example of how to use your brain". I'm not trying to be rude, but this situation could have been handled better, and I hope everybody learned something...

I completely agree in theory. But violence will either lead to more violence and more complicated scenarios... It's best to avoid it unless its absolutely necessary... Just remember, unless you just plan on giving that guy a charlie horse, then you will be responsible for the damage you cause to him, and his property. Just like he's responsible for the damage to your property... Odds are he will defend himself and you will need to do a little bit more then a punch in the leg to get your point across once you decide to convey it in that manner... If you find yourself in a brawl, then when does it stop? Where is the line?

2 wrongs don't make a right fellas... I'm all for eye for an eye. But I only exercise acts of aggression if someone physically hurts me or my loved ones, and of course self defense. I've outgrown the need to pummel guys on behalf of my possessions. I also regret having done so in the past.. When violence is used, where do you draw the line? I have personally lost sight of that line in the past and almost ruined someone else's life. I've learned that when I'm in defense mode, I don't know when enough is enough.

Well said Special.
I had two teens cut in front of me and slam on their brakes on the highway at night because they thought I had my high beams on. What I did have was my sidearm, which I will use if need be. Lucky for them, it was me and not someone closer to their own age.

Exactly! With age comes wisdom... I'm in the class A club too! This means we need to be even more careful and level headed then others. Ignorance is no excuse...
