Default Numb nuts hit me.

Well couple days ago I was at a party and a guy hit my truck, then left. I tracked his dumb*** down. Went around got 3 estimates from local body shops, its about a 1900 dollar job, new bed side, paint, ect, ect. We didnt go trough insurance or anything, i made him right me a check for $2200. Now im trying to decide if i sould take it to a body shop or my buddys and have him do it for cheeper obviously, that way i can put some more bones in my pocket. I know 3 guys in the auto body industrie, i just havent talked to them yet cause there real busy. All im really trying to ask, is this a easy job or real difficuilt. I no there are people that do body work on there f150's, Just wondering if anyone has done bed work.

any imput would be great, thanks
-Sean

it dont look all that bad. can it be popped?

i would take it to your buddy, im pretty sure you can get a new panel for that side of the bed.

i got hit in my 02, pretty sure they got a new panel for the bed. ill have to find my estimate. shouldnt be too hard man. you may need a new bed bolt kit though which is probably a few $$$. them bolts usually have to be cut off.

lol i didnt know they made something like that, i thought that spot weld cutter was pretty fricken cool....kinda pissed when it got dull from drillin maybe 20 spot welds though. especially since it was from a ford factory, figured it was like carbide tipped or somthing.
