Default Is this a normal Fuel pump sound?

When I turn the key to the On position without starting the truck I get a faint squeal noise around the fuel tank area which I assume is the fuel pump priming. I zipped a audio file of the sound and attached it to this thread.

2007 - 5.4 - 81,000 miles, fuel filter has been changed few months ago and FPDM replaced 3 days ago. It has a intermittant slight fast shake at idle. Some days the VCT will make rattling noises after the engine is warm. Today after work tried starting the truck and it wouldn't start on first crank and the low oil pressure light would come on but the second try it would start and oil pressure would be normal. Thinking the fuel pump might be on the brink?

Check your fuel PSI. Your file doesn't work. Says it is corrupt.

You can read fuel pump psi with HEC tests. Navigate to top of page and type in search box "Dash lights gauge removal" navigate thru article threads to HEC and Utube video.

I have this same problem. FPM and fuel filter were replaced last year. Truck ran great up until yesterday. It sat for 10days while i was in FL.

Tried to turn it over and i have the same sound as the original poster... Does that mean its the fuel pump?

You can hear it try to prime. I put my hand above the tank and you can feel vibration and hear the squeak coming from there...

Any suggestions are appreciated.
