Default noise from hood at speed.

so for the last year or 2, my truck (2005 XLT screw) has started to make a very loud knocking sort of sound from the bottom left (drivers side) of the wind shield at speeds excess of 60km/h (35-45mp/h) it seems to be coming from the plastic cover that is between the hood and wind shield to the left of the wiper arm. would any one know how to fix this or what it is. my two thoughts on what it could be is the way the air hits it or if the clips for the plastic cover are broken and it rattles due to the air. also this noise started after the truck went to ford for the recall on the airbag. the light is still on. (but thats a different story)

thank you for your time and advice in advanced. hopefully i can get this figured out as it makes driving and distance very annoying.

Cowl ends...if the cowl itself is loose...pop the hood and see if the screw is missing holding the 2 halfs togeather...

The black trim that surrounds your windshield wipers and run the length of the windshield. It is held on by a few screws. Check and see if those mounting screws have come loose.
