No power windows operating

All of the power windows in my 2006 supercrew stopped working yesterday. None will roll up or down from either the main driver controls or the individual door controls. There doesn’t seem to be any other electrical issues.

From my research it sounds like this could be a bad driver door switch, but does that supply power to the other doors? I’m unsure where I should start troubleshooting.

Thank you for the help!

yes.. the master panel on the drivers door supplies power to all other doors.. have you checked the fuse ?

I would also check the wiring going from your driver door to the cab. Pull the rubber boot back and see if any are frayed. One wire frayed on mine and prevented a few of the windows from operating.

That was going to be the next step I was gonna have him do after verifying the fuses.

Thanks for the help!

Fuse is good. I checked the rubber boot going from the dash to the door and didn’t see any wire issues.. doesn’t mean there isn’t one.

i have a new master window switch arriving today, so if that doesn’t fix the problem I’ll be digging into the door looking for wiring issues.

Let us know if the switch works out for you.

My experience is that the wire can be intact and still have a bad connection. My driver speaker wire for example isn't frayed and looks perfectly fine but if I move them around my speaker cuts out. My window wire on the other hand was completely split in half. Hopefully it is the window switch, because soldering and replacing those wires is a pain.
