Default No crank/no start issue

I'm having trouble getting my 2006 5.4 started lately. I just rebuilt the engine because of spark plugs breaking in the head. It started fine once I got the truck all put back together. I drove it 100 miles back to school and the next day it wouldn't start. Check engine and battery light are on. When I turn the key I can hear a relay clicking in the fuse box but the starter won't engage. I have power everywhere, but it won't crank. I can activate the starter by making contact with the power and remote poles on the starter, but it won't turn over. I also have an Edge CS that can't communicate with the ECM when I try to start. Any ideas on what I should try?

This^. An easy way to check is to see if your cig lighter works. They are on the same circuit.

If that's blown, test / throw out any cheap phone chargers you might be using in the truck. That's what blew mine.
