No crank no start 2006
So I know this has been posted a hundred times. I've read most of them that applied. And tried all the fixes. So here is what I have.
2006 FX4 crew cab automatic. Had what seemed like a battery draw issue. Live in cold climate. Disconnected alternator to check for feedback. Took the fuses out and checked each and every one. Looking for any indication of high draw, etc. Nothing anywhere. I did have a few out at a time, and yes, I double and triple checked locations. Everything is back in place. Now I have no crank.
Gauges and dash seem to work. Check gauges in the display. Clear it and get dashes.
No communication to OBD
Replaced battery
Anti theft light flashes every two seconds. Even in run, and in crank. No change.
Tried shifting through all gears
Tried jumping at the transmission connector
Jumped at the starter - crank, no start
Power on fuse 12
No power on 32, 33, 34
Relays swapped with known good ones
Power on blade 2 of PCM half relay
Relay R02 clicks with key going to crank (accessory delay)
On occasion when you turn to run, fan motor takes 10-15 seconds before it comes on.
Headlights do not dim or go out on crank position
Interior accessories all go off on crank position
PCM replaced with one out of identical truck.
Probably a couple other things but that should be a start. Do I change out fuse box? Or work around with a switch for now?
