how does it look?

obusnizzle 12-06-2007 12:32 AM

cool. It looks like the Foose truck.

wxmcpo 12-06-2007 12:36 AM

Very sharp!!

Buck 12-06-2007 01:05 AM

Nice, but the rims stick out too far for my taste. If they were flush with the fenders it would be dead sexy!

Ty 12-06-2007 02:03 AM

I love it except the tailgate handle, and the emblems, if you had it in for paint, why not shave them?

squirrelyyy 12-06-2007 05:57 AM

I'll give it :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

LovetheTide 12-06-2007 08:30 AM

Looks good! You might want to try the oven method on your headlights and paint them black. I might be trying this myself tmrw.

It's not that easy on these trucks. There are several holes behind the badges and the emblem on the back is almost flush the the tailgate, so that would be a tone of bondo and shaving.

let me warn you tide....be careful... its not that easy.. i already did it.. the only problem about cooking the head lights is getting the silicone sealant out of the track its in wiithout deforming the the track the light fits into.... if you do defor it, which you probably will do, make sure its sealed back up tight.. use watever you can to squeeze it together.... good luck!

remember black krylon or krylom sompin like that satin

Triton v8 12-06-2007 02:18 PM

It seems that the hardest part is actually opening up the lights to paint them. I will make sure to heat them periodically so it won't be too prone to breaking. If it does brake I will go to the dealer and get a light, its less than 50 bucks for a new one anyway. How many times did you have to re-heat yours? How long did it take to do your lights?

exactly my point, if the truck was in for paint, why not go through the extra work of having it all done at the same time.

tell me how hard it is to open i like to black out just the ambers

LovetheTide 12-06-2007 07:21 PM

I will. I sure as hell hope I don't break these bad boys because I did some searching and found it it would cost 175 bucks to replace one of them. Needless to say I will be taking my damn time.

my dad and i took the idea from the old boss stangs

LovetheTide 12-06-2007 07:35 PM

Out of curiosity, have you had any problems with the po po and your tail lights?

obusnizzle 12-06-2007 07:52 PM

Hella makes a replacement front lamp for the F150 with a carbon fiber blackout.

LovetheTide 12-06-2007 07:54 PM

I could also go with the HD or FX2 headlights, but for the price difference in what the DIY job will cost and the OEM replacements makes me want to give it a try.

none led lights up very brite red

shakezone 12-08-2007 05:19 PM

everybody thinks that the cops will pull u over for ur lights.. i havent gotten pulled over once yet for the lights because they light up as if they were regular the paint is transparant.. and they have no reason why they would pull you over. as long as u can see the light shine then u will be ok.

LovetheTide 12-08-2007 10:13 PM

^I was just asking b.c I recently tinted mine and wondered if the cops would do anything.

Deckedoutf150 12-09-2007 02:30 AM

You put the headlights in the oven and "cook" them so it is easier to get the assembly apart and spray paint them.

David4202000 12-15-2007 03:13 AM

that is one damn sexy f150, i like it because its clean and simple, also dosent have alot of those 3m stick on pieces of ****. i think that just kills the look of the truck when someone dose that
