Im at 37k miles now and im getting that loping feeling when i stop like i had before i had the rotated the first time. This time my pads are almost good for replacing. IMO that sucks. My truck gets maybe 3 miles a of driving on it per day and Im not hard on my brakes and I dont pull heavy loads very often at all. The point is, my rotors on my F150 and like other's posts i have read just arent made to last very long at all. If you have to replace the rotors or have them turned before getting even remotely close to a pad change, they arent very good rotors.
I just find it weird that only a select few people are having this problem. My truck has 46k on the original pads and rotors. I will need new pads within the next 5k but the rotors are still good and really do not even have any lipping on the edge.

I have 79K on my 2005 STX, and Ford replaced the pads and rotors at about 53K for a previous owner (I have the receipt). I inspect the rotors and pads every 3 months, and so far they both look great at all 4 wheels. I don't tow heavy loads or trailers, nor am I "heavy" on the brakes. I wash the truck once a week, only because I'm in an apartment complex and do not have access to a washing station; I have to use one of those coin operated car was stations (I hand wash). I do not notice any brake dust on my factory wheels. Perhaps the Ford dealership used something other than Ford pads, but I doubt it. Are these folks that complain using aftermarket pads? If so, what brand?

I agree with Len; this appears to be a select few with this problem of stock rotors and pads.

My '06 F150 which I bought new has 21K miles and no brake pad/rotor problems. They are checked at every oil change, with the pads having over 50% life (minimum) left and the rotors showing no sign of abnormal wear. Now I do dislike the amount of brake dust that is kicked up on the stock chrome wheels and tires from the stock pads. These are most likely the worst pads for brake dust I've ever owned.

Now on my last truck ('02 F150), I did put ceramic pads on, trying to think of the brand, and they stopped significantly better than the stock, made no squeal and produced very little brake dust. I know I'll be getting ceramic pads when the stock pads wear out, just don't know about the brand. Will have to see the shape of the rotors at time of pad replacement to determine if they will be replaced or not.

These are awesome pads! I've put them on my wife's 07 Accord and noticed an improvement over the factory pads.

I installed them on the front of my 02 F-150 and was still impressed.

Worth the extra money for the C-Max pads.
