Ok guys I've been here reading the forums and you guys have help me with changing my timing and all.
So here is my question I have a 2004 f150 5.4 3 valve I'm back to hooking everything up but somebody else helped me take it apart and I'm not sure where all the connections go I'm basically down to one it on the passenger side it is almost identical to the crankshaft sensor connection but it I different size it only 2 wires I've been up and down my truck and can't figure out where it goes

A pic may be helpful.

If it wasn't -40°C and 12" of snow, I could look further.
Your left side cam position sensor and VCT are already plugged in?

First, clean the junk out of that connect.
Second, there is a connection in front of the valve cover, with 1 wire going over towards the alternator, and the other running over behind the battery. Perhaps that is it? I had a similar conundrum when putting mine together, took me a little while to find the battery-side wire stuck beneath the battery when I'd reinstalled it.

I have a 2004 (New Body Style) 4WD Lariat SuperCrew 5.4.
Following the wiring loom from the top of the passenger side valve cover, the connectors are ordered as follows:
Camshaft Position Sensor (Front of passenger side head)
A/C Compressor (between compressor pulley and compressor)
Crankshaft Position Sensor (In Between A/C Compressor and engine block)
Oil Temperature Sensor (side of oil Pan)
I should probably have gotten a better pic of the Crankshaft Position / A/C Clutch connections, but I couldnt contort my camera into place.
If you need them, I'll gladly root around in there further.

I listed each plug in order from the top of the valve cover to the last plug in the harness. You should be able to deduce which plug it is based on where it comes out of the harness.
If the plug you're questioning is the last one at the end of the harness, then your'e correct. It runs down to the side of the engine oil pan and plugs into the Oil Temperature sensor on the side of the oil pan.
