Bearing noise while driving
Hi Guys!
2006 F150 4.6 4x4
I have a bearing noise/drone most noticable at about 60 km/h
seems to kinda come and go, and im having issues pinpointing what it is.
Its deff. coming from the front. Appears to come and go with load, but its still fairly intermittant.
Any troubleshooting help would be great!!
Thank you!!

does it sound like a hydraulic pump whining? if so I'm having the same issue with my 2006. I think we've narrowed it down to the front differential but I'm kinda worried it's going to need rebuilt...

I would say it sounds like a wheel bearing.
Correct me if im wrong, but on these F150's when not in 4X4 the front diff should be disengaged, no?
