Default Need some help with fuse selection for oil pressure sender

So I wired up an oil pressure gauge and sending unit. I used fuse #22 for power in the passenger kick panel. I am getting erratic readings and I think its because of the power source. When the truck is off but delay accessory is still on, the gauge bounces between 2 and 20 psi. If I start the truck, it holds steady at around 27 psi then after 10 or 15 seconds it will rise to 35 psi. Oil pressure should not rise while in idle. Any help with what fuse to use is appreciated. I am thinking fuse #1 is my best option. Unless its a bad sending unit.....gauge is Intellitronix sold by Summit Racing.

Hmm. Odd. Are use whatever fuse they said to use in that thread we have been talking on the last few days. Which I would assume to be 22.maybe you could put it on your cigarette lighter/ODB port fuse? Not sure what number it is though.

Is your sending unit the same brand as your gauge? some stuff doesn't play well with other brands

Sending unit came with gauge. Gauge has good ground as I ran a new wire directly to the kick panel ground area where I have other grounds.

Sidenote, Intellitronix tech sent me an email on grounding the sending unit out to test it. They said most likely the sending unit is bad.

I mean, it's always possible. "Sh** happens"

Are they gonna send you a new one?

H many grounds are on the one post? Think it could be interference there? Just spitballing.

It did it before I added the ground as the sending unit only had one wire that fed the gauge. It acted the same after I added a ground to the sending unit. Thought maybe the sending unit wasn't grounding properly because of the aluminum sandwich adapter. So maybe I should try a whole new location for a ground? Is that possible that too many things on one ground causes interference?

Usually not a lot when talking about a 12v system but they do create a little interference. Maybe if it is really sensitive. How many other things are grounded there and what are they?

Its a factory ground location just to the lower right of the fuse box by the passenger kick panel. I have one other thing I added, the ground for my radar detector.
