Maybe so.

But I was just trying to get you to see the other side of the coin before chastising someone that suggested a search.

If it applies;

Since you have to be a sniveler and go off topic about cheerios etc, I DID post a link to several pictures, as requested by the person who asked. (And they sniveled too).

Please note my concern by reading under my avatar, then my signature, which at least one of you is partly responsible for. I actually do try to help people here. I also try not to waste other folks time (present case excepted) by doing a little basic research on my own first.

OP, have you had any luck/success identifying the exact problem with your truck? It should be any easy diagnosis and repair.

I do appreciate the pictures and topic, since my truck started doing the same thing last week. Had a feeling it was something with a vacuum line or the solenoid, but now I know exactly where it is under the hood and what to look for. So thank you to the person who posted the links and picture. they are appreciated.

And the pics in your photobucket link were exactly what I needed. Now I know what/where it is. I would have just said "Thanks for the great link" 10 posts ago if it wasn't for your rag of a comment following it. Sorry for rubbing you the wrong way, and I appreciate the link. Now stop being a uberhater, troll, dick, whatever.
To the OP, thanks for the pics. Also you saved me some cash by letting me know that it was only a $30 fix. I was going to take it in for warranty work for this exact problem, but now I will do it myself. Should I still take it in for the actual hub where the grinding is happening to be replaced? I know the teeth can be getting damaged. I bought the truck with 19,000miles on it and now have 25,000miles. It's only done it to me a handful of times, but I don't know how long it was happening to the previous owner.

...and if, after you do your trouble shooting and need to replace one or both IWEs (because sometimes a bad solenoid has already done some downstream damge),

Also not very difficult with basic tools and skills.

I might as well just replace them myself. Pretty simple.
