Default Need help with my 5.4 l 3v please

, so I have a 2007 f150 with the 5.4 in it. I just did a timing job on it where I replaced the phasers, chain, guides, tensioners, high pressure oil pump, vvts everything I was told to change I did it but now after the when I test drove it it's making a clicking sound when I'm driving and runs rough at idle and makes a knocking sound only on the passenger side. I'm also getting p0012,p0022, p0010 codes. Here's the strange part when I disconnect the vvt solenoid on the passenger side and go for a drive the knocking goes away and it's smooth but the clicking when i accelerate still happens. I assumed it was just a bad vvt solenoid I got and got a new one today but still giving me the same issue knocks when it's plugged in and runs smooth after unplugging it. Anyone have any ideas what else could be causing the issue?

i don't think it could be the timing I was super careful and followed fordtechmakuloco step by step and once I disconnect the vvt solenoid it runs smooth
as I just drove around with the passenger side vvt solenoid disconnected and the only code I got was the p0010 for the vvt solenoid no other codes. Any ideas? Although when I was accelerating it was making a clicking sound

Did you use only OEM parts, especially for the phasers?

Does any of the sound come from the exhaust manifolds?

Did you clean out the oil pan and oil pickup . Its a must especially if you had broken guides. What kind of miles are we talking about.
The roller followers should be changed ,watch ford T. malukoco on that .
Oem phasors are expensive but necessary . What kind of tensioners did you install
Me ,I had to put in all new lashs and roller followers, I threw one and it missed damaging the cam and was laying to the side.
You are here because you had oiling problems in the past , tensioner seals ,poor factory oil pump , 5w20 oil needs to be 5w30 . Tensioners from factory are plastic and only hold when oil pressure gets up , chains are long and stretch ,tensioners are limited once low on oil and more stretch.
This engine runs on dirty engine oil trying to adjust cams rapidly hydraulically . Plus most of these engines burn oil . Ford changed a lot of parts but never go over 5k or 4 months on oil changes . Clean oil is a preventive not a fix . The older 5.4's used metal ratcheting tensioners with no seals to blow out , that is one helpful fix . The tension stays until oil pressure comes up .
As far as your ticking -make sure your plugs are torqued 25 foot pounds . You can have an exhaust leak . Injectors also make ticking sounds . I am at 260k and I have changed all injectors twice , the last ones -two failed one dripping another shooting a solid stream with no signal .
I do an engine flush every other oil change and I run 1 quart marvel m. oil . Use any fair oil but change it often and don't let it get low .
You can try swapping sides with phasors to see if it moves .

You may have to inspect your valve train for wear , high resistance makes it hard for phasors to return . Low oil at one time may have caused excessive wear . Some guys have had luck polishing cams and surfaces if they are not too bad . There are some grooves to be cleaned out all cams caps etc must go back exactly where they came out and all must be slowly torqued in sequence to 89 inch pounds . New oil cant repair surfaces .
If the oil pickup is full of fibers and junk its not sending enough oil . Once wear has caused thrust washers to fall out in oil pan from crankshaft its usually too late to try to put them back in . The crank eats itself on block so its best to do an crank end play right up front , excessive end ply = you need a reman .
Get engine clean and keep it that way .
