when i put my truck in 4x4 hi from neutral and start driving slowly it makes its real bad shhk sshhk shhhk shhhk shhhk shhhhhk shk shhhk noise,

what could this be? any advice will be awesome i use my 4x4 frequently and need this fixed,

just recently i got stuck on the beach and my back bumper was touching the ground and the front tires would not spin at all,

help haha

IWE Solenoid maybe?

 

That and maybe his vacume break booster?There was a recall on that part by Ford.Recalls are from 04-08's i belive.I am thinking its that because my truck made his exact same noise he described and took it in,and lone behold,it was the vacume brake booster,or is it brake booster vacume?lol.Either way,get it checked out.

Hey gator,for right now we got my 4x4 problem down to the relays and the wire that goes into the 4x4 relay box.No power comming to relays at all.So were gonna check the 4x4 wires after i get the 4x4 wire skematics.

 

do you perhaps remember what that costed you? out the door? preciate it guys

 

When Ford issues a recall,its free to the consumer.So it will be free to you to do if you do not still have your warrentee.Whats funny is,Ford didnt make it known they were mailing out recalls.After i had mine brake booster vacume replaced,i finally got the recall a year later in a dealerships envolope.Was just about to throw it out when i thot cause i thot they were dealerships coupons when i thot to myself,well my budy mechanice is gone for two weeks on vacation,maybe they might have a coupone in here for a flush n fill service.So thats why i opened mine and saw the recall.So you might have thrown yours out by mistake.So go to your dealership and ask about the recall,its worth a shot.Then do some more research if they say there wasnt a recall on that part.Let us know

 

i thought the recall was just on the brake booster hose, not the booster itself.

irrc the hose can fail and you loose the assisted braking.

 

On my year truck,it was the whole assembly part includeing the booster.Hey may want to check into that with his dealer
