Mysterious Grinding noise on takeoff '06 f-150 4x4 5.4L
Hey All, recently my truck has started making a loud grinding noise just after taking off from a complete stop. It's does this every time when going from 0mph to around 3 mph and then the noise quits until I stop and takeoff again. There are no other symptoms that I can find. The noise itself sounds more like gears/parts grinding than squealing, but a friend of a friend still thinks it could be brakes. I was also wondering if it could be the torque converter or something going on with the 4x4, or possibly the motor mounts. Interested to see if anyone else has had this problem and/or may know what's going on with it/possible solutions?
