Default my new 06 f150 needs some rumble

My new to me truck needs some rumble. Seen various posts on recommendations on mufflers how good would it sound if I just eliminate the muffler and straight pipe it.

That wouldn't be "straight pipe" That's just a muffler delete. Straight pipe means no cats, muffler, or resonator. Just a pipe.

But anywho, some think it sounds good and other think it's bad. I replaced my stock muffler with a flowmaster 40 series and I'm happy with it. When I cut the stock off I started the truck to see what it sounded like and it was terrible. So many pops and crackles.

If you're just doing a muffler swap, the diameter is 2.5.

Depends how loud you want it. 2 chamber = loud. 1 chamber = louder. Lots of guys here can testify for both. Really depends on what you want.

Do you have a 5.4 or 4.6?

The sound will be a lot different if you have 1 or the other.

To be honest I got a one chamber from summit and I started the truck up after I took the stock muffler off and it is a quite truck with stock everything else. I put the one chamber on and got the same loudness but beeper tone but I want louder so I'll have to dig into my bank lol
