Default My F150

So I just purchased a one owner F 150 Crew Lariat 4WD. 207k runs great. Currently getting its trans rebuilt torque converter was going out so went ahead and had trans rebuilt for $1500 labor and parts which I thought was fair. I have changed the oil and rear diff fluid I need to do front I just haven't looked up service info. I plan I doing tune up in near future probably . When I changed oil I ran seafoam through it for about 50 miles and also did the brake line treatment as well. I have also ran seafoam the last two tanks and ran high octane in hopes of fighting carbon for plug change any suggestions/tips regarding plug change it would be appreciated I have been doing some forum searches and youtube videos. Rancho Leveling I have new Struts & rear shocks which should be here275/70/18 BFG AT on stock Lariat Wheels
Immediate plans other than tune up are below any suggestions welcome
3" Single Exhaust from Y pipe Back
Cold air intake of some sort Sometime this week .
Tuner With Custom tunes I have been looking at Gryphon after some forum searching

I'm really enjoying the truck so far also it is a healthy motor no ticking or diesel sounds and doesn't burn any oil ! Further own the road I plan on a regear to 4.56 and maybe more lift

Unless I get service records, I assume it wasn't done. On top of what you are doing, I'd also do coolant with MC Gold or Zerex G05 and replace t stat. Check all your bushings and wheel bearings for play. Lastly, just as an FYI, higher octane will do nothing over regular as far as carbon elimination. To me it's wasted money. Run some top tier fuel or a good cleaner through it (Redline SL-1) and be done with it. Seafoam is good, but Redline is the best IMO. Gorgeous truck and enjoy!

Thank you exactly the kind of advice I'm looking for. Ran High octane after a few suggestions on other post and o online videos. Will do coolant didn't even think of that game thanks for compliments this has always been my favorite body style of F150s

Marvel's Mystery Oil is also pretty good stuff as far as cleaning out oil passages and stuck piston rings. Try a pint when your truck gets a half quart low.
Gumout Regain is another really good PEA based fuel/upper cylinder cleaner, that will help loosen up the carbon around your plugs.

It sounds like you have a solid engine, and my Minnesota bias can't believe how there's no rust at over 200K

I have always wanted to hear some opinions on marvel mystery oil . I see you can add it to your fuel as well as oil . When I'm a couple thousand miles into this oil change I will add some I had seen it mentioned in a few post on here

It did good stuff for me. I was trying to clean up the engine in hopes it would keep me from having to do the phaser job... using synthetic diesel oil & MMO, it was about normal for the first 1,500 miles, then it went BLACK by 2k. Like, can't see the crosshatches on the dipstick black. I was impressed.

I'm about to change my spark plugs on my truck. I'm guessing you have the 5.4L. The sparks plugs can suck changing out. Watch videos on how to change them, they have the chance of breaking in the head. I bought a tool for that just in case.
