Update - ok I go tomorrow to have the exhaust done. My wife..whom I love so much and is the reason I have the truck I have, is buying me an early Christmas present. K&N cold air intake. While its not the best one I am not paying for it so its all good. I will post dyno numbers after the exhaust then after cold air then after the re-tune with cold air.. I want at least 15 out of the combo. That will put me over 200 to the ground.

Over 200 to the ground?? Are you saying that the stock 4.6 v8 has less than 200hp?? That's a joke.

Did you decided on which direction your goin? I've got my at a 45 degree, and I cant still hear it. I've got a buddy with a 5.4L and his run straight back, and you can hear them, but not as noticeable. After the exhaust, programmer, and intake, whats next on your mod list? Are you planning on butting twin cooling fans, or a larger throttle body? When you go to get your exhaust, are you having your cats cut off as well?

Thats 200 to the ground, the engine is only rated at 246. With a 20% loss thats 196. Trucks have more of a loss due to larger tires. Thats why I was at 187 to the ground... BTW After the exhaust its 203 to the ground. That equates out to 257 at the crank on a normal car.. Again being a truck roughly 265. Thats a pretty good gain on a N/A vehicle of such small displacement.

My exhaust is LOUD!!!!!! now. When I had it at the shop there was a 'Stang there being dynoed with 2.5 exhaust and Magnaflow bullets. The ppl at the shop were arguing which was louder. His 5.0 with massaged heads and big cam or my pretty stock 4.6.No one makes a throttle body for the truck yet as it is a drive by wire. I am thinking of putting a mustang intake on it so I can make use of a larger TB. But that will only add about 5 hp at the most. I did find that the truck is rich now without the cats, so I have a few more ponies in the tune. I just did not have time today to re- tune it. I will post pics and a vid soon. I have a cooling fan for the truck now. I am thinking of taking the mechanical fan off and using it to see if it will keep the truck cool enough.
