Post My 2004 FX4 Progression Thread

My dad bought this truck brand new in 2004. It was then given to me for my 16th birthday in July 2009. Since then I have done what I could to personalize it for myself. Here's the progression.

This is what it looked like when I got it...

My first modification was a Black Kobalt Toolbox.

I then added Bushwacker Fender Flares, a ProComp 2.5in Leveling Kit, 17" ATX Artillery's, & 33" ProComp All-Terrains.

I also used VHT Nite Shade and blacked out my tail lights & 3rd brake light.

My next modification was a Bully Dog GT Gas Tuner.

This is the extent of my modifications too date.

My wish list includes:
6" ProComp Lift
38" (or biggest allowed) Tires
Re-Gear (not sure exactly to what yet)
Banks Monster Dual Rear Exit
Banks Manifolds
Alpine TouchScreen/Navigation Head Unit
Spray In Bed Liner
Black Diamond Plated Front End Replacement
Diamond Plated Rear Bumper
Recon Smoked Projector Headlights
Recon Smoked LED Tail Lights
Recon Smoked LED 3rd Brake Light

Anything is possible, it just costs money

I would advise maybe leaving the stock bumper or just getting a RH brushguard, I,ve heard bad things about what the replacements can do to your front end with all the additional weight

This is the one I was originally looking at

The downfall is that they are pricey because they are made out of aluminum, which is lighter and helps with the weight on the front end. I looked for a piece that was just the front bumber, without the parts to protect the grille, lights, etc, but could never really find one.

This is the Front End Replacement I am now looking at.

It is from RangerOffroad.com and is the Frontier Extreme Bumper. My only concern is that it is steel. I have always been told to get only get an aluminum one for an F150. Can anybody shed any light on the subject?

Get you a ranch hand summit Bullnose replacement from bumpersandbeds.com...They are $650 which is the cheapest I found them and look great. Mine is light enough to lift myself and could absolutely demolish a deer if need be. I have pics on f150online in my album (same username on that forum) If you wanna take a look. Truck looks good too man, I got min when I was 16 and it's so addicting to spend tons on money on her. Have fun.

Thanks for the reference, and saving $200 helps a lot considering I leave for college in August haha
