Default MPG Edge Evo

2005 STX 4.6L 4X4 SCAB Edge EVO Gotts Mod KN air filter:

Edge Custom Settings: Level 2
Shift Firmness: 1-2 & 2-3 = 12 3-4 = 10
Torque Conv. Std. Lock Pts: 3rd = -2 4th = -4
Timing: +1.00
Gears: 3.55
Tire size = 2553

With the above settings I got over 20 MPG on a 200 mile trip. I am sure the wind was just right, hey I live in Wyoming and the wind is a factor in everything, but this is the best I have gotten. I figured the mileage manually from one fill up to the next. As you can see the settings are minimal, I thought I would pass it along because people are always asking about them. Normally I get in the 16 MPG range driving around here, short trips. And I always use 91 octane.

If that # was from the Edge, I would hand calculate to verify. The programmers have been known to show higher numbers than what they actually are. The programmer is making a best guess. Same with the factory readouts of mpg!
Hope you do get the 20 by hand.

Yea, wind and the right temperature.

Do not rely on what your programmer tells you for numbers for MPG. Mine told me I got 19mpg one time on a 2hr trip going 60 for an hour and 70 for an hour. I have 7.5" of lift and 35" Nitto's. There is no way in hell I came even close. Even coasting downhill at 1000 rpm i still probably wasnt getting 19mpg..haha.

With your setup, I can semi believe your programmer and what it was telling you but I wouldnt bet my life on it.

The MPG numbers on the Edge are about worthless...I don't even bother to have them up on the screen.

Do you have to start with a full tank of gas and go all the way to empty to figure your mpg out manually?

If you have it on economy, level 1, which mpg changes? The one on your dashboard? Or you just look at the one your evo screen provides.?
Or does my dashboard not change

Level one isnt an economy tune, its a trans tune only. The edge has no effect on the truck dash MPG display.
