Thank you everyone on these threads and for all the great info on these years truck. Today I traded my 04 fx4 screw to a 2010 scab stx with a good amount of options. Man what a difference, from a 4 speed 5.4 3v to a 6 speed 4.6 3v. I'll post pics. Again thank you I'll be in the 09+ forums now, I'll probably drop in here or there.

Thank man, not really much of a difference the back being smaller doesn't bother me there's plenty of room still and I'll never be back there haha. The only thing is the opening the back doors feels weird but I'll get used to it.

How do you feel about the switch to the smaller engine? I'm debating making the same switch.

Good lookin truck. I bet its not as clean anymore as it was in the pics. Black is impossible to keep clean but is the best color you can get when clean.

Even though it's the smaller engine it's the 3v not the 2v I believe it has 292 hp, I think it's way quicker than my old 5.4 and the transmission is amazing. It shifts so smooth and really holds the gears longer. And Adam your right it gets dirty real quick especially with all the snow we been having the salt has been thick. I need to get mud flaps the tires throw dirt all up the side and on the side mirrors, I'm looking at getting oem ones. I plan on getting a few things for her but I have to take it easy I don't want my wife to get to pissed about me buying stuff. Thanks guys.
