motorcraft 5w 20 syn blend
Changed the oil today. Normally I use castrol full synthetic but geez that stuff is 9 bucks a quart now.
I picked up some motorcraft synthetic blend for 23 bucks for a 5 gallon jug and two bottles. With a wix filter it came to 35 bucks.
A lot cheaper than 63 dollars JUST for the oil.
I read good things about motorcraft oil and wix filters on here so that plus the price is why I got them.

You can get a Motorcraft filter 820 @ Walmart for 5 bucks along with your oil.

The auto section of my local wall marts are slim pickens and consist mostly of clearance oil filters.
If you need an oil filter for a gm gen III/lsx engine then your in luck and they have any you could want.
Motorcraft isn't a big seller for them here I think. I'm not buying fram and I think Mobil 1 and k&n are overpriced.
I didn't see MC 5w 20 there though.
I chose the wix filter because it was a few bucks cheaper but still a good filter. I usually buy MC filters.

<$30 and I have the Ford dealer change the oil and filter, dispose of the oil and filter. I know some don't live by a dealer, but if we are talking about prices, motorcraft syn blend and a motorcraft filter. It's hard to beat that these days. Oil has gotten so darn expensive. And if they try to sell me something else, I just say no thanks if it is something I can do myself. $63 for oil? Wow

x2. Plus, I was told by the dealership(whether its true or not, is up to you to decide) that they use synthetic oil for all their oil changes now. The reason I found out is that I inquired about changing my oil to synthetic.
