Default Motor craft or auto lite spark plugs ?

I have a 2006 triton motor in my f 150 the 5.4 . I want to put new spark plugs in. It has a miss. Someone put solid core plugs in it and I don’t have any idea what kind they are. I’ve heard just use motor craft and nothing else. I was told autolite. Just looking for input. I was told the sp515 plugs were unreliable and the new sp546 are a replacement and won’t break off. I’m probably beating a dead horse by asking the spark plug questions so I apologize if I am . Lol I just joined the forum and looking for some answers. If anyone can share some info or thoughts I would appreciate it .

When I use the Search button and type in "spark plug Motorcraft", it gives me 500 threads of info on this forum. So yes, the question has been asked before. But no worries, you're new here. Welcome.

Try this one thread, it has 947 replies as recently as a week ago:

In sum, I think the majority say Motorcraft...

Yes to the SP546. Be careful during install... keep your socket straight so you don’t crack new plugs and make sure you torque to 28-30ft lbs. Prevents backing out.

Autolites are apparently supposed to be the same as motorcrafts, but I disagree. When I put them in my Ranger, it bucked like a wild bull. Switched back to Motorcraft, and all was good.

This here will fix probably better than 80% of peoples misfires when everything is installed carefully, meticulously, and clean.

Default Use carb cleaner to clean out spark hole to remove carbon

That's the trick to put it back to new condition . That carbon around the snout is the problem area. It breaks plugs and changes heat range of plugs . Me I use champions and have avoided all plug problems . Its the only double platinum . But I don't want to start that conversation . Just sayin .

Do the sp546 plugs break off too or are they manufactured different and I’m proved so they won’t break ? I appreciate all the replies . Very helpful.
