MOBIL1 Switch to Royal Purple... ok to do?
OK gentlemen, I have been running Mobil1 Full synthetic for the last 30k and have been told I should be using RP. Can I make the switch? Should I make the switch? will it hurt anything if I do?
Pre-thanks for any knowledgeable answers.

Buy it here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-Gallon-Royal-Purple-5w20-Synthetic-Motor-Oil-05520-/281422462561?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item418615fe61&vxp=mtr
Comes out to $6.80/qt vs. paying $9.99/qt at the auto part store. This makes it cheaper than mobil 1 synth.
Did I mention FREE SHIPPING???

You can switch back and forth every other oil change if you wish.
You can even switch between synthetic and dino [conventional] (creating leaks is a myth, syn can flow better identifying leaks that already exist, not causing them).
The oil discussion will be never-ending, EVERYONE has an opinion.
-Many jump on the jump on the "Mobil-1 bandwagon (thanks to Mobil-1 marketing).
-Those who feel good spending the most (and brag about always buying the "best") go with Royal Purple.
In reality, ANY oil with specified viscosity and rating (basically all modern oils) for the vehicle will work fine.
I buy Shell 5W-20 synthetic at BJ's Wholesale with coupon it's $19.99 for 6 quarts $3.33/quart!
Oil has excellent ratings.

Valvoline has an excellent website that describes the differences between the different oils and they specifically state that you can easily switch between the synthetics and the conventional oils without any problems. It is actually an interesting read if you have the time.
http://www.valvoline.com/faqs/motor-...and-viscosity/
That is just one page of it, but it will get you there if you are interested.
