I'm from southern ohio and just bought an 04 fx4 supercab with 75k on it for $14,000. Having just been pricing them for a few months, the truck you are looking at sounds overpriced. Perhaps you need to extend your search. Definately check craigslist. Found mine on there.

I don't know how well Ford trucks do, I suspect mine will probably out live me .
But I bought a '92 Miata with 140K miles and promptly added a blower to it . After driving it for several years, I gave it to my son who lives in Tacoma. He still drives it. I had to replace the brakes and some hoses but that is all it ever has needed. I did change the clutch and flywheel to a later model but it did not need it. Every thing else I did was modify it for fun, nothing ever broke in it. I don't know how long it will continue to run...
I'd say in a fairly new vehicle 100K to 200K is probably not too much depending on how it is maintained.....

thanks for all of the info guys. Not sure where most of you are located, but here in KY, $13,000 is a decent price for an 04 SuperCrew FX4 with 120,000 miles. Kelley Blue Book on it is $13,900. The delaerships here want $17k-$18 for an 04 with 90,000-100,000 miles. Maybe I need to come to where some of you are and buy.

I got my loaded 125k '04 Lariat screw 4x4 this february for just a hair over 10k. Best investment I've made in a long time!
