Default Clunk under coming from rear of truck under two circumstances.

Today while driving my truck I noticed a clunk like sound coming from the rear of the truck after letting off acceleration. So I got home and decided to investigate and noticed I could make what I'm assuming is the same sound when jumping up and down on driver side rear bumper.

At first I thought it could be the driver side shock catching on decompression but it sounded a little more internal than that.

Next I tried going from forward to reverse several times while having the brake depressed and did not notice any major noises like slop from the u-joints.

So has anyone have any experience with this or have some tips to hunt down the sound.

My truck is 2wd by the way if that helps.

Thanks in advance.
