Maxxis Trepadors?
 

Anyone running these? I like the look of them and unlike BFG, Nitto, Toyo and a few others I don't know anyone that has these. So they'd be a little different. Anyone know how long they last, traction and such?

Maxxis is known for terrible wear and mileage. On the other hand they are also known for amazing grip, and ride ability on and off road.

Those look like baja claws, which are lacking in the offroad department.

About how long do they last?

You'll just get 40k if your lucky more like 30k really with the wear pattern, if they are anything like any other offroad Maxxis tire you will have TERRIBLE wear patterns. Impossible to keep in balance and you will be rotating all the time.

Give em a shot, who knows it's a new design they just came out with. Maybe they will be different hopefully. I'm more worried about the tread design, it looks crappy to me, like the baja claw it will clog up and not clean itself easily.

Well, the problem with me trying out the new pattern is the fact that being a high school student this will be the most expensive thing I've ever bought for myself so I really want something more reliable

Leave buying the expensive terrible wearing tires for the big boys.

Go with something proven, I will run BFG at/kos for the rest of my life. I love those tires so much, they are amazing in snow and sand. I can go anywhere I want to go in mud with them and the last easily 40k miles with great wear. Get them balanced again at 20k and your set. But that's just me I love them.

I lot of people here like the Yokohamas and the Kelly safaris. The safaris will be a good option for you, cheap and great wear 40k I hear on those no probs and they have good grip. Kelly used to be a lot bigger than they are now. I may try the safari when I'm looking for new tires.

I'm running Maxxis Bighorns which is a radial mud tire and have had good luck so far with them. The trepadors are a bias ply so they won't last for crap on the road. They look cool, but I wouldn't run a bias ply on a truck driven mostly on pavement. Try something in a radial.

Yeah, those Kelly's look pretty good. I may end up getting those. No one has those either so that'd be nice. I'm mainly trying to stay away from BFG's cause everyone has them and Nitto's for price.

Yeah I know 1 guy with the Safari, he LOVES THEM and they are really cheap compared to the other brands. He's on his second set and got about 45k out of his last ones and he said they wore and rode great and had good traction. I would go with those if I was in your position.

I kinda want Mud Terrains, is that what he has?
