Default magnaflow exhaust ?

i chose magnaflow for my exhaust system,lately i have noticed the tips are turning to more of a copper color.anyone else have this problem is there a way to restore them. i have only had them on about six months

i have a buddy who had that problem but it started to happen right after he cleaned them with some sort of stainless steel cleaner. it began to turn a goldish copper color. i think what happened was it stripped the coating off.

yours just sounds like a poor coating though.

I've had my Magnaflow exhaust since March and the stainless tips look great!Sounds like some chemical reaction

My stainless tips have done that too. I left them that way, as it matches the Arizona Beige of my truck, so I think it looks cool. I figured it was due to the excess heat, as my exhaust exits before the passenger rear tire. I would try some motorcycle exhaust "blue remover" and see if that works for you.

Try a can of "Never Dull" it works wonders, local parts store carry it.

i picked up some never dull and gonna try it in the morning.they look like schitt the way they are and i either need to restore them or gonna replace them.thanks for the replies
