I used it in one of my subarus that had horrible piston slap (where the piston shakes in the cylinders among other things) I highly recommend using it. They make a full synthetic version designed for transmissions and differentials in combination with normal fluids. The quart of oil acts as a REPLACEMENT so if your transmission takes 4 quarts and you use a 50%/50% mix you use 50% of the additive and 50% normal.

Hope it helps,

Will

do NOT overfill your trans you can build up fluid pressure and thats when seals start to blow! if you take out a Pint then add a pint...

At our dealership we use BG products. Not sure if its a local company or if they are everywhere but I know its sold at most dealerships. I have seen their engine oil trans fuel additives flushes. That would be the best way to go. In fact if you have those products added on file at any dealership and your vehicle meets the requirements BG pays for trans or engine replacement like a warranty. Lucas is good stuff though. I ran it in my Dakota v6 and I got 206k and sold it running like the day I got it.

I think over filling means using more than one bottle, not over filling the trans. I had a z71 with 145k when the trans starting slipping. I changed the fluid, filter and added two bottles of lucas stop slip and drove it til 235 k until I sold it. I did see a review once that said Lucas motor oil additive caused air bubbles that would form air pockets in the cylinder and cause excessive engine wear.

I always use a quart of Lucas Oil stabilizer in my truck in place of 1 qt oil. And i can definitely tell a difference in how smooth it runs when i use it vs when i didn't.
