i still dont understand that...my friend has my exact truck/year/model/trim and everything...he has the super 40 flows and i have str8 from the cats, no mufflers at all, and my exhaust shakes the truck, pops, gargles, snaps, anything u can think of, it does...his is a more subtle sound, and at high speeds, mine is still much louder, so i dont see how you say that your truck is louder with super 40's...unless u didnt really remove the muffle properly the first time, ill try to get some pics of mine up soon...and p.s. if you still want louder than super 40, the American Thunder 40 series is louder, and its like 50 bux online...

a muffler will give you better tone, there is NO WAY it could be louder with a muffler

now when you have it straight from the cats, does your engine light and stuff come on? well i had my exhaust done somewhere and its kind of loud when your on the gas but when your off it doesnt even sound like i have anything, i want it to be loud all the time, but i want it to be a deep low tone.

if you want a deep mellow tone, you want a muffler, but if you want it loud all the time, you dont want a muffler.

1) when you touch certain parts of the exhaust the engine light will come one but sometimes an 02 simulator will make it go off.

2) your exhaust will always be louder when you're accelerating (foot on the gas)

this is what my truck sounds like and looks like with out the mufflers, just a turn down at the end of the cat pipe....turn up the speakers...enjoy
