Throttle Body Spacer + K&N CAI?
I have an 07 5.4L. What TBS will work with a K&N CAI? I've heard some throttle body spacers don't work with a K&N intake but never found which ones don't work. Anyone know?

I've Heard nothing but good things from guys that have a tbs and a cai. I'm also not goin for major horsepower gains it'd b nice tho. I'm mostly goin for mpg. Like programmer, exhaust, etc.

Seriously, if squeaking out 5-10% more fuel economy was as simple as a bolt on CAI + a TBS...your truck would come from the factory like that to give Ford the competitive advantage over the other manufacture's offerings. Mod for HP, not for MPGs.

Take the money you would have spent on these modifications and put it in your gas fund. It will go much further. Alternatively, if you want to increase your gas mileage: replace your oversized or AT tires with stock size highway tires which are properly inflated, get rid of excess weight in your truck, remove any suspension mods, replace your air filter with a new one, change your fuel filter, or trade it in on a Fiesta. All those practical suggestions are pretty boring...

Nobody has told you which ones work together because very few people use throttle body spacers, it's pretty much been proven with an EFI engine a Tb spacer is useless.
I don't personally use a CAI either, but I do have the gotts mod done. Not to say you can't run a CAI, but they tend to cause a lean condition with these trucks that can only be fixed with a programmer, (hence suggesting a programmer). Not to mention the gotts mod flows just as well as a CAI and won't hardly cost anything.
So yea I guess your right, chances are nobody is going to tell you which mods work together.
Gotts + programmer = WIN
P.s. I have an 07 screw with 5.4 and 3.55 gears (stock tires), with the 93 tune and 60-65mph, 19.5 - 20 mpg!

Here, read this before you buy an intake.

Here are the generic responses you will find for this kind of topic:
-Most people will tell you that a CAI doesn't give you noticeable gains.
-Most people will tell you that a TBS is a paperweight and doesnt do anything.
-Most people will tell you that a cheap PVC pipe 'gotts mod' is better.
-Most people will tell you that if you're going to run an intake it will cause your truck to run 'lean'.
Personally, I've noticed a small gain in gas mileage and a fairly more active throttle response running a CAI.
(and a deeper exhaust tone)
I've noticed a large gain in gas mileage when I had my exhaust work done.
There are rumors that if you do not use a custom tune that corrects your engines fuel flow to counter with the different flow of air into your engine, it will cause it to run "lean". I've had my CAI for a year and haven't had any problems. Then again I drive under 15k miles yearly on my truck.
