Default Brake pads and rotors advice

I just purchased an 05 f150 XLT 4x4 with the 5.4 from VA. Because I am registering it in MD, I had to put it through a MD state inspection. It had already had new brake pads installed to pass VA inspection but I had to put new rotors all the way round to pass MD state inspection. With test drives and my trips to and from the dealership the new pads had about 300 miles on the junk rotors. When I was changing the rotors I looked at the pads and they looked in good shape So I kept them on with the new rotors to get it inspected. I understand that pads wear to match the rotors which is why I have an uneven shine on my rotors. After two days with the new rotors and "new" pads, my brakes are squealing and the rotors have a slight copper, almost burned look where the brake pads are not yet in full friction with the pads. Ive been monitoring the shine on the rotors and they seem to be progressing to a nice even shine but now my brakes are getting a more and more noticeable squeal. Do I need new pads, and worst case, do I need to resurface my rotors? Thanks a lot. I'm new to this forum and this is my first f150 that's newer than an 82. I'm absolutely in love.

You might have to resurface your rotors for the new pads you put on?

^^^^

What he said and word of advice, never do what you did. If you had to do new rotors trash the kinda new brakes and put new pads on. It's worth the money VS headaches you are experiencing now.

I figured I probably should have but ignored my better judgement. I was planning on it but i hadn't straitened out the paperwork yet so i didn't own the truck. Well, we learn from mistakes i guess.

Also ^^ thanks for being nice. Advice is always welcome. Some people get too full of themselves when asked for help. I really like this forum compared to other f150 ones. It seems more real people.

Should I get the rotors resurfaced or just replace the pads? The wear on the rotors seems very uniform now and the squeal may have gotten better, definately not worse.
