Looking for a better bulb for my fogs/headlights
I've made the mistake of installing 8k HIDS.. in a aftermarket housing. They suck. I've tried them for a month.. and I cant bear it anymore driving at night.
So... in stock headlight housings.
What is the best bulb to put in fogs/headlights without melting anything. but will produce much better lighting

I'm using the Phillips crystal vision ultra, they're a white light and do pretty good in my opinion, I live in the country so no street lights. I'm wanting to get another set for my fogs as well

I've head about phillips before, better then the sylvania bulb? I had them and wasn't impressed at all

I've ran both, the Sylvania will "reach" further than the Phillips, I just adjusted my headlights up a little(not pointing in people's eyes) and they're a lot better now. To me the Phillips are more clear

I swear by the Phillips Crystal Vision bulbs. It is the first upgrade I do to all of them. Currently I have them in my F150, Expedition, daughters Grand Prix, sons Ranger and Daughters Firebird. In the past in my Superduty, Ranger, Focus, Excursion and Saturn. No kidding. I have NEVER had one burn out.

Don't get the GE Nighthawks. I paid a bunch for mine and didn't notice a difference over the cheap ones. If you have rectangle fogs, you can put in 9005 bulbs. Direct replacement and 65 watts.

You would be good to go with a 9145 bulb, 5 watts more than your current 9140.
I was mistaken about 9005s. They actually are 65w, not 55 as I stated in my last post, which I have edited.
