Default Locker or limited slip?

So I figured out my 08 xlt 4x4 is an open diff and was going to get a limited slip installed but wondering if a locker (posi) is a better way to go. And also wondering if they make electric lockers for the front diff? See what your guys opinions are? Thanks guys

www.diffsonly.com Email Wayne for info and the best price. I'm surprised you don't have an LS now. Are you talking about the fwd or rear axle?

No I have code number 19 that is. 3:55 non LS it is weird since I live in northern Canada. But I wanna do a LS with my 35. But wanting to know about getting a locker instead of a LS in the rear diff. And then getting a electric locker for my front diff?

Gotcha. Well the electrics are expensive. Usually $800-1000. I to have been debating on a locker verses a True Trac for the rear of my truck. You will probably not like the locker. Unless you are off road far more than on. Otherwise get your self a true-trac and call it a day. Great product and no clutches to fail. Great both on road and off and there lots of folks on this site and others that will swear by them. When I finally roast my factory LS it's whats going in mine.

A limited slip is a posi. A locker is a whole different beast. I think if I was going to look at a true locker, I'd try to find a complete rear out of an 09+ FX4. They have factory e-lockers and in the end the rear would probably cost less than buying aftermarket parts and having it setup.

^ Detroit TruTrac is the best of both worlds for mixed use on/off road. I wouldn't bother with a full e-locker unless you do some serious rock crawling.
