Default LINE-X before and after photos

I actually got this done a couple of months back during the holidays, but I thought I would still post some before and after photos. If anyone out there thinks they are protected with their factory bed liner, let these pictures serve as a warning. My truck is a 2007 with only 38k miles on it, and when I took the bed liner off, I was pretty shocked.

Now with the LINE-X, this thing is durable as they come. I also absolutely love the look of it.

Looks great man!

That's the next thing on the list for my 07' as well. I can't stand the factory liner. It warps like crazy in the Alabama summer sun and I can imagine every time there is dew on the ground that all kinds of moister has condensed under there.

Honestly your bed didn't look too bad though as far as rust goes. I'm hoping I'm as fortunate.

The swing out toolbox looks good in there too.

Thanks! Yeah, I agree about the warping; you can see it a little in the first picture. I live in MS, so I feel your pain about the summer sun for sure.

You are also right about the rust. Even though it wasn't bad, it's still disheartening to see all the scratches and the rust starting on a 3 year old truck.

Yep, no problem. It's in my signature, but it is called an Undercover Swing Case. Check out the link for more photos and some animations on how it works. I was looking around for an alternative for storage since I have the audiophile system that takes up all the room under the rear seats and I have a soft tonneau cover that doesn't allow for a normal truck toolbox. I really like it because it swings out when you release the latch making it really easy to get to your stuff. It also doesn't take up a bunch of usable bed space since it's mounted in front of the rear wheel well. It is removable if you also wanted to use it as a portable toolbox. You can put a lock on it though to prevent others from removing it. The lid of the toolbox itself also locks, and the lock and key comes with it. One thing you should note, is that it's located right where the tie down is bolted down. The instructions say to remove it, but you can actually just flip it 180 degrees and it fits right above it perfectly and allows you to still have the option of having your tie down if needed. Also, if you have a bed liner, you will have to do some cutting where it mounts. The toolbox has to mount directly to the bed. Or you could just line-x it and it works too.

It's a little pricey; I think I paid around $180 for mine. I bought mine on
Amazon Amazon
since the price was cheap (relative to other sites) and I have free shipping with Amazon prime. They sell the matching one for the passenger side, so you can get them on both sides. I definitely think I will get the matching one in the future. If you are looking for a good storage option, I definitely recommend it.

Looks good! I want to do the same to my truck come spring time. Can't wait to get rid of the factory bedliner!

Good choice, you will not be able to foul Line-X no matter what you do. I really use my bed hard daily and mine isn't even scratched.

What does it set you back if you don't mind me asking. I would like to do this sometime soon. I agree, that storage case is pretty slick.

I paid $475 if I remember correctly. I think most of the shops charge $400-$500 for our trucks.
