Default Lifted 2005 f150 gear questions.

I brought this truck about a year ago with 160000 on it and I've done all the timing and plugs to get it out of the way. I lifted it 6ins and put some 35×12.5r18 and some 18×10 -19. I've been wanting to change to gears (3.73) but i don't know to what gear size to go up too. Since i do mostly highway and some backroad driving, what do you guys recommend? I do what to buy a kit that come with everything that I need. I have about 189,000 miles right now so i do want to change out all the bearings and everything to make sure i don't have to open her back up. 9.75 LS rear end and 8.8 front end.

3.73 is fine for 35” tires. It’s not the most ideal gearing but it is very adequate. I’d leave it in case you ever change your mind on tire size you’ll still be fine.

Yeah she doesn't feel slow at all but i might put a 3in body lift later on and maybe some 37"
Im not sure yet because its not a problem with me being 6'3 but my wife is only about 5'4 lol and i just want to do the gears to help out on the low end
Do you guys know of a good Tuner for these trucks? I dont mind paying a little more for custom tunes

I agree with techrep, 4.56. I went to 4.10 from 3.55 and was happy with it but sometimes I wish I had 4.56.

I do like the 4.10s and on a roadtrip the truck rarely has to downshift if at all to get over a hill. 4.56 would just give me more off the line but I suppose the truck will never be fast.

Since you are going from 3.73 gears it wouldn't be much of a change to go to 4.10 so 4.56 would be better.
