Default Leveling Kit price

A friend of mine was quoted 200 for the kit and 300 for the labor (3 inches) is this anywhere near reasonable???

I bought a Hell Bent Steel 2.5" leveling kit for mine of eBay for $65 shipping included with a warranty. I put it on myself in about 2 hours. It was pretty simple and came with good instructions

You should be able to get a leveling kit sub $100, it's normal for guys to get quotes for labor (including alignment) in the sub $200 range.

theres really not much to it, its just adding a spacer above the coil. u don't need to be a trained mechanic to do it. a couple guys with instructions should be able to finish in a few hours.

what kind of tools are needed? and what kind of potential damage could be done to the truck if it did somehow get messed up??

so around 300-350 total would be a legitimate charge

Yeah, I would say $80-100 for the kit, $75 a side for labor (bout an hour of work each side unless he's real good), and $50 for the alignment would be very fair. You'll be close to the labor cost in tools if you don't already have them.
