Leveling kit (?)
I have a 2004 supercrew with a 6" pro-comp suspension lift kit. But for some reason my truck doesn't sit level? My friend, that is a mechanic, at first thought that the rear block that was sent with the lift kit was to small. But that wasn't the issue, so he then came up with the idea that the owner before me hauled a lot with the truck and that my rear leaf springs should be replaced. Well, I took my truck into 4 Wheel Parts the other day to have a "shim kit" put in to raise the back of the truck and make it level, but it didn't. What they told me is that there is a leveling kit on my truck, and it should've been taken off before the lift kit was put on and it would've been leveled. So now they said its gonna take an "add-a-leaf" on top of the "shim kit" to make it level?(!!!). But my friend told me that what they thought was the leveling kit was just the factory block? So my question for whoever reads this, is who is right? Are the people at 4 Wheel Parts right and my truck does have a level kit? Or is my friend right and my truck does not have a leveling kit? Here are some pictures, thanks for any help! - Chris

I need a good verdict, not like Casey Anthony.

4 wheel parts is right. Underneath the 6" coil spacer is your leveling kit. Looks to be 2". If that was taken out before the lift kit was put on, it would sit level. Now you have 8" in the front with the lift+ level. That's why it doesn't sit level.
Is the back sitting lower? Thats what it sounds like. Pro comp sells a 5.5" block to replace the two stacked blocks. That will make it safer and give you about 1.5" of lift. And its alot cheaper than a add-a-leaf.
Oh ok, thanks for your guys help. It wasn't that I didn't believe them, its just that I didn't know. But once the guy told me that I have 8"s of lift in the front I had the biggest grin because I knew that bigger tires could be put under my truck. But then it made me mad cause I didn't know I had that much of lift so then I couldn't get bigger tires there. But do you know where I can get the 5.5" block your talking about?

Yeah I thought about it but haven't really decided. Hey 04Screw, I can't find the 5.5" block anywhere! Its driving me crazy. The only thing I came close to was seeing some guy on here with the 5.5" block on his truck but I can't post on his thread or message him? If I can just find a place that sells them it would be nice. . .
