Default Level kit advice needed

Ok im new to this forum but have already found it very useful. I have an 06 F150 supercrew and want to put a 2.5" leveling kit on it.Ive seen steel ,alumn . ,etc.. My question is what about the offset ones i see on ebay, is the offset needed for the coil spring not to rub the a arm or is this BS.Thanks in advance.

04-05 need a 3" lift to level out..
06-08 need a 2.5" lift to level out..

I am going to put a 3" on mine and lift the back a inch so I can fit 35" tires..
