Unhappy 2004 f150

Need some advice on why my 2004 F150 will not move under its own power. All this after we changed the oil pump and put new timing chain kit in it. It will start up and idle like a champ but when you put in gear to give gas it wont pull. Not making any sense.

Please add vehicle details. Confirm automatic transmission.

When you say "it wont pull" does it just rev up with no forward motion or does it blog down like the brakes are on?
Did you have the transmission linkage disconnected for any reason? Did you try shifting through the gears? Did you check trans fluid level?
Is the throttle body linkage disconnected?

Does it rev up in park . trans linkage okay ? Trans fluid level .
Throttle body should be fly by wire -no mechanical linkage . Check all electrical plugs .
Is parking/ emergency brake stuck on rear wheels . rusty linkage can stick and break .

Didn't mess with linkage and its auto trans. It will start up just fine and you can rev it up but once you shift to drive and give it gas its like its bogging and no power.

Something isn’t right with those phasers. Either they are damaged or not installed properly. Computer can’t determine proper engine timing = you go nowhere.

Try and see if phasors look okay , sometimes middle finger of the three is bent back too far . Plus you used aftermarket which are junk bar none . You need oil pressure to move cams thru vcts , did you have broken guides ? oil pickup may be full of debris if you didn't drop oil pan and clean it all out , make sure o -ring is on oil pickup tube or it will suck air . Those gears grind up guides to small fibers . They will be in screen of oil pu blocking oil flow .
