I do like my 2 seater qc/6.5 bed, but man do I have a soft spot for a simple well optioned rclb. I should explain before someone has to ask. I have buckets in front, and still do have the seats in the back, just folded up, but I drag around so much crap having this much cab! This time of year, you can forget about getting more than one person after some stacking in the back. Part of the reason the wife and I just can't let the old '98 rclb 4x4 go till I find a nice replacement. They are just hard to find! Hope to see more guys.

I changed mine from 3:31 to 3:73 it like a whole new truck much better acceleration and trailer towing. And the best part is my fuel mileage went up.

Mileage went up? What tires size are you running? And are you 5spd as well?

Tires are 265-60-18 original tires were 255-65-17 only 1% difference in diameter. Truck is a 4.2 5 speed manual. Computer has been reflashed to correct for proper speedometer readings with the new gears / tires.

The truck moves much easier with the new gears you can feel it takes less effort to get the truck up to speed. This results in the engine not having to work as hard and delivers better fuel economy.

Don't fear the gear
