Default Preparing to install Alarm W/Remote Start

So i just purchased a Python 574 Alarm w/remote start system. I will be doing the install myself. Just wanted to see if anyone had any good tips to give before i begin. Never installed an alarm before so anything is helpful.
Thanks!

Go in with a solid plan and wiring diagrams. A lot of nightmares can pop up from hack job alarm installs.

It's not easy. Especially if it has a remote start... you may have to get a converter box. I had to get one for my truck to get the remote start to work properly.

I ended up having to get it installed. I'm not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but it is not an east task to accomplish lol

Got it for $264 from onlinecarstereo.com Thats with the bypass module. I had my truck keyed a couple of months back and plus im just paranoid since previous vehicle was also broken into. So i finally pulled the trigger.

Yea i had to buy a module to bypass the PATS system. Ive done my research on the install and though it does seem pretty time consuming and challenging, im confident i can do it. Im pretty technically inclined when it comes to electrical networking and such.

That's not too bad. Rather spend the 264 once than replace what they took from me. Thanks.

Yea I feel the same way. Plus you get the added convinience of a remote start. I'm just waiting on the module and the interfacing module. The interfacing module will allow me to program the bypass module with one key. This will save me gas, time and $100 the dealership want to charge me for a new key.
