I've seen too many time a main harness been cut cause problem in the future. If it were me I'd go off battery, either way its going to look cool so hurry up and do it and post some pics
this is true. when it comes to wiring anything i never recommend wiring into factory harnesses for the fact that alot of people dont know what they are doing and end up screwing stuff up, especially if they dont test their wires or have a wiring diagram to find the proper wire for their needs.

this application however, i broke my rule and tapped in to the factory harness. of course i tested my wires for voltage when on to make sure i had the proper wire but again these LEDs are so low amperage it hardly puts a strain on the circuit.

never CUT a factory harness/wire. shave some of the coating off and solder it to ensure a good tight, weather safe connection. i solder everything i touch EXCEPT for remote starts. shave, loop, twist and tape is the way to go. that prevents cutting of the factory harnesses if the remote start needs to be uninstalled in the furture for watever reason.

Crazy is right, always go to the battery for aftermarket applications.

you could still wire a relay and fuse to the LED circuit if you really want to, that takes a little more knowledge though.

you would use the parking light wire as the "switch" on the relay, 12v constant from battery with inline low amperage fuse to relay, ground to relay and the LEDs (load) to relay.

I am highly confused when reading some of this haha! So.... I wire all the lights together... wire the red to a bigger gauge wire with fuse and run that to the battery? Run the black to the "ground."

You can tap the factory wiring, just use a relay and get your power from the battery so you don't risk burning out any factory wiring or Heaven forbid...The PCM.
Here is how you install/use a relay:

you will need a switch inline or else the lights will be constantly on

I ordered three of these
them LEDs only pull 25mA (.025A) of current, thats next to nothing lol ive got 5 of them.

were going to confuse the hell out of you. you cant wire them directly to the battery you would need something to open and close the circuit. if you wire them the way you just explained the lights will never go off lol

just do it the simple way and take the red wires from the lights and wire them to the parking light wire and the black wire to a good ground and youll be set, these LEDs pull very little amperage.

lol, I am at work right now . I'll be tackling this on Monday since I need to get something to mount the lights on the grille anyways (Saleen grille)... I don't even know exactly how I am going to do that yet! I was thinking maybe auto 3m tape (like the emblems) or maybe liquid nails.... Idk quite yet! Very open to suggestions on that as well!
